Its Christmas
I love Christmas. Not for the presents, not for the baking, parties, absolutely not for the shopping. I just LOVE Christmas. My greatest dream is to one day have a real "White Christmas". But for now...Ill have to just make do with another Southern California style Christmas. White snowflakes and snowmen....light up my yard!
This weekend the kids and I decorated. I had asked that they all help out. That for what its worth has its pros and cons. But for the most part they really did help out a great deal.
My kid are like me, especially my daughters. They love Christmas. This year there was an unspoken competition in my home. Who could decorate their room the most. See I don't believe in just "one" Christmas tree. Nope...one just won't do. While I wish I could afford to have real tree's...Dennis promises that our first Christmas together we can go into the forest and cut one down, for now I pull out and dust off the tree's. Something just still doesn't feel right about that...but thats ok. The girls all have tree's for their rooms, I have one in my room and then there is the one in the living room....seen here. But that wasn't all....they had to outdo each other with lights and decorations. I have to admit I sat back and smiled inside as I watched this. There is something rather nice about seeing your children enjoy something as much as you do.
I think the best part of Christmas is the season itself. I love the lights...I love what they signify. The coming of Christ. I love the true meaning of Christmas. The time spent together as a family makes this season 'special'.
My home will always be lit up. Even years from now, years and year from now when I am a grandmother...I want my home to be a place that the kids gather in and rejoice. Because of the season.....because of family.

Are you engaged? hmmmm...
It sounds like it, but I don't remember a post to that effect...
Nothing "official" to report to that effect YET :).
