January ......the month of loss

Cant sleep so thought Id write. Its been on my mind a lot this past week and so I look forward to the fact that January is indeed almost over. January for years now seems to have been a month of tremendous loss for me. I suppose some might say its the way you see things, and while sure I suppose thats true, but for some reason it just seems that this month hasn't always had its best for me. In my reflective and rather sad state here are a few of the things that come to mind.
11 years ago the loss of a child
3 years ago realization of the loss of a marriage when served divorce papers
3 years ago loss of a dear friend
2 years ago house flooded (1st time)
1 year ago the loss of the kids kitten
Realization I had lost my head in another relationship that didnt turn out
Loss of many tears
I would guess that the loss of some hair could be attributed to this month of months.

I suppose even the loss of money when one considers that all of those bills that come this month right after Christmas

I was talking with someone tonight about this and a friend brought these quotes up

“If we deny love that is given to us, if we refuse to give love because we fear pain or loss, then our lives will be empty, our loss greater.”

"Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm" Winston Churchill

Compleely Exhausted But We Did It

Spent the entire I mean the ENTIRE weekend well ok except some few prescious hours with dear friends who helped put a smile on my face for a few hours working on 2 overwhelming science fair projects! I know can say I know more about tornadoes and earthquakes well then I really would want to! :) But to have both projects done and done a week in advance....well thats got to be good for something.

Earthquake! 3 story steel building represented by pipe cleaners on a shaker table. Ash was clever in that she decided to make another board with a fault line in it. I have to say while it was a ton of work.....they sure did learn a lot from this experience!

Tornado Chamber.....thanks to my dear dad and his extra effort in helping my son get this together.

BTW.....Kids watched 10.5 Hallmark Presentation of a Earthquake movie. When asked their opinion....STUPID! OK well enough said I suppose .... Link to review
